Olú (real name: Oluwatosin Agunbiade) has been singing for as long as she can remember. Born in Lagos on July 10, 1993, she honed her skills, like every typical Nigerian, in the church. Olú got inspired to start making music professionally by what she describes as “a desire for expression” Her music is inspired by “the collective unconscious to send messages we need to hear.” She’s been influenced by choirs, Afropop, soul and spiritual music from the likes of Sade, Erykah Badu, Asa and Ayo.
Olú’s debut single “The Cry” is a wake-up call to her listeners. It is most important to pay attention to the lyrics as they reflect her thought process and passion. “The Cry” is an unforgettable experience. It is available on SoundCloud. ITunes/Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, Google Play and every other music streaming and download platform. Also enjoy the Lyric Video on YouTube.
